The competition unfolds through four elimination rounds with progressive score resets. After the initial round, only the top 20 players and ties advance with their scores wiped clean. This process repeats in the second round, followed by a final cut before the fourth round determines the two qualifiers through cumulative scoring, with a playoff available if necessary.
