Reem Hospital launches GCC’s first AI-powered MRI

Abu Dhabi’s Reem Hospital has achieved a regional healthcare milestone by deploying the Gulf Cooperation Council’s first AI-integrated MAGNETOM Flow MRI system from Siemens Healthineers. This cutting-edge installation represents a significant advancement in medical imaging technology, positioning the hospital at the forefront of diagnostic innovation in the Middle East.

The newly implemented system incorporates Siemens’ sophisticated Deep Resolve artificial intelligence platform, which fundamentally transforms traditional MRI procedures through three primary enhancements: dramatically reduced scanning durations that improve patient comfort, substantially improved image resolution for superior diagnostic clarity, and optimized workflow efficiency that allows medical staff to dedicate more attention to patient care.

Hospital leadership emphasized the strategic importance of this technological investment. Chairman Zaid Al Siksek stated, “This implementation demonstrates our unwavering commitment to clinical excellence and advancing medical science through technological integration. Our collaboration with Siemens Healthineers enables us to deliver world-class healthcare services aligned with international standards.”

CEO Clancey Po reinforced this perspective, noting that the AI-powered system represents a direct investment in maintaining the institution’s position at the vanguard of medical innovation. The hospital’s radiology department, led by Dr. Haggag, anticipates transformative impacts on diagnostic capabilities, with the advanced imaging technology expected to significantly improve both patient experience and clinical outcomes through enhanced precision and efficiency.

This deployment aligns with Abu Dhabi’s broader initiative to integrate artificial intelligence and advanced technologies into its healthcare infrastructure, establishing new benchmarks for medical care quality and technological adoption throughout the region.
