Russian ballistic missile strike on Kyiv kills one and injures others

A new wave of coordinated Russian strikes combining ballistic missiles and drones has targeted Ukraine’s capital Kyiv and its surrounding suburbs, leaving at least one civilian dead and 12 others wounded, local Ukrainian officials confirmed Wednesday. The assault marks another escalation in Russia’s increasingly frequent attacks on the Kyiv area in recent weeks, extending air raid warnings across the region for more than an hour as multiple waves of projectiles hit population centers and infrastructure.
