Torrential rains that battered Mexico on October 10 and 11 have unleashed catastrophic flooding and landslides, claiming at least 27 lives and leaving many others unaccounted for. The deluge, which caused rivers to overflow, wreaked havoc across multiple regions, with Hidalgo in eastern Mexico bearing the brunt of the disaster, reporting 16 fatalities. The floods swept away homes, vehicles, and bridges, leaving thousands of houses either damaged or completely destroyed.
