BOGOTA, COLOMBIA – In a significant breakthrough for the country’s new national security strategy, Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella has confirmed that a high-ranking commander of dissident factions of the former Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) was killed in a targeted military operation on Sunday.
