This development follows the arrival of Masaaki Kanai, a senior official from Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in China. Kanai is expected to engage in discussions with Liu Jinsong, the director-general of the Department of Asian Affairs at China’s Foreign Ministry.
