Antigua’s Carnival City will host the Calypso Monarch semifinals this Thursday at 8pm, as part of the lead-up to the island’s biggest summer festival.
Eighteen calypsonians, including Queen Thalia, Willie Wawa, and Tian Winter, will compete for a place in the finals scheduled for 1 August.
Tickets for the event cost $20.
