Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has implemented strategic traffic management measures to accommodate the prestigious Ladies’ Tour de Dubai Race scheduled for Friday, February 6, 2026. The competitive cycling event will necessitate intermittent road closures along key thoroughfares between 12:50 PM and 4:30 PM local time.
The race circuit will commence at the Dubai Police Academy, traversing through multiple significant arteries including Umm Suqeim Street, Hessa Street, Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street, Expo Road, Lehbab Road, Al Qudra Road, Saih Al Salam Street, and Saih Al Dahal Street, before concluding at Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University.
Transport authorities have clarified that each affected roadway will experience temporary suspensions of approximately 10-15 minutes duration, with normal traffic flow resuming immediately after the passage of race participants. This rolling closure system aims to minimize urban disruption while ensuring athlete safety during the competition.
The RTA has proactively advised metropolitan residents and visitors to strategically plan their travel itineraries, suggesting earlier departures to circumvent potential delays. Motorists are encouraged to monitor official RTA social media channels for real-time traffic updates and alternative route suggestions during the event period.
This transportation advisory forms part of Dubai’s comprehensive strategy to host international sporting events while maintaining the city’s reputation for logistical excellence and infrastructure management.
