Flags were raised high, symbolizing loyalty, belonging, and gratitude for the UAE’s founding values. Introduced in 2013 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Flag Day commemorates the anniversary of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s presidency in 2004.
