Police apprehended a 36-year-old male suspect, a long-term UK resident originally from India, within seven minutes of the incident. The rapid arrest was facilitated by eyewitness accounts tracking the movements of the black Suzuki Swift vehicle involved. The suspect remains in custody facing multiple charges including attempted murder, dangerous driving causing serious injury, and grievous bodily harm with intent.
