UAE: Over 70 traffic patrols to be deployed during New Year festivities in RAK

Ras Al Khaimah Police have unveiled an extensive security operation for New Year 2026 celebrations, deploying more than 70 traffic patrols across the emirate to ensure public safety and orderly festivities. The comprehensive plan, developed in coordination with multiple government agencies, focuses on maintaining traffic flow and security in high-activity zones and tourist areas throughout the celebration period.

Authorities issued stern warnings against uncivilized celebration practices that could endanger public safety, specifically prohibiting party sprays, reckless driving maneuvers, and excessive noise disturbances. Police emphasized that community cooperation with traffic regulations and officer instructions remains crucial for maintaining security for both residents and visitors.

The Operations Department confirmed full readiness through deployment of advanced equipment and modern technologies in command centers, with qualified personnel standing by to manage emergency responses. Officials encouraged the public to utilize appropriate emergency contact numbers—999 for critical emergencies and 901 for non-urgent situations—with both services available 24/7 during the celebration period.

Police underscored that public adherence to safety guidelines will help create a secure festive environment, ensure the success of organized events, and positively reflect the UAE’s international image as the nation welcomes the new year.
