Sambhaavna 2026 celebrates inclusion and family at the Museum of the Future

Dubai’s iconic Museum of the Future served as the visionary backdrop for Sambhaavna 2026: A Carnival of Hope, where over 120 children of determination demonstrated extraordinary artistic talents in a celebration of inclusion and family empowerment. The Eduscan Institute successfully hosted its eighth annual socio-cultural CSR initiative on February 6, 2026, reinforcing its three-decade commitment to special education and inclusive practices across the UAE.

The carnival, aligned with the UAE’s declaration of 2026 as the ‘Year of the Family’, featured remarkable performances across singing, dancing, musical instrumentation, and creative arts. Notable highlights included an inspirational Wheelchair Dance performance, a Walk of Confidence featuring children of determination alongside cancer survivors, mindfulness yoga demonstrations, and collective renditions of “We Are the World” and the specially composed Sambhaavna Anthem.

A significant segment, ‘Music for Mental Health’, showcased therapeutic performances by artists from Indian Idol, including Swaraj Singh Thakur and Sangeeta Padhy, alongside event title sponsor Dr. G. S. Patnaik, chairman of St. Xavier’s Chain of Schools. The event represented a collaborative effort with Khaleej Times and Krishnamurti World School, receiving 104 entries from educational institutions nationwide.

The ceremony was graced by Sheikha Hend bint Faisal Al Qasimi as chief guest, alongside distinguished dignitaries including Yakoob Al Ali, Ghanim Al Falasi (Senior Vice-President of Technology and Entrepreneurship), Dr. Ankur Aggarwal (Chairman of BNW Developments), and Vandana Sudhir, wife of former Indian Ambassador to the UAE.

Founded by award-winning psychologist Dr. Alka Kalra, Eduscan Institute has pioneered special education and teacher training programs throughout the UAE. The Sambhaavna carnival continues to provide a transformative platform for children to express their capabilities, build confidence, and demonstrate that genuine inclusion begins within family structures and extends through shared community experiences.
