During her journey, her white 2012 Ford Territory (SA registration S254 BCX) collided with a kangaroo near the Andamooka Township, though she proceeded with her travel despite the incident.
The case took a disturbing turn approximately ten hours after her last sighting when her partner and a friend discovered her vehicle inexplicably positioned on a dirt mound adjacent to Blue Dam, east of Andamooka.
