Dubai-based travel influencer Anunay Sood’s cause of death revealed

The tragic death of Dubai-based travel influencer Anunay Sood has been officially attributed to an accidental overdose involving fentanyl and alcohol, according to Clark County, Nevada authorities. The social media personality was discovered deceased in his Wynn Las Vegas hotel room on November 4, 2025, during his attendance at the exclusive Strip Shutdown automotive event.

Medical examiners confirmed the primary cause of death as ‘combined fentanyl and ethanol toxicity,’ ruling the circumstances accidental despite the presence of narcotics found at the scene. The investigation, initially reported by TMZ and 8 News Now Investigators, revealed that police officers responding to the incident located both Sood’s body and unspecified narcotic substances within the room.

Sood’s family formally announced his passing through his official social media channels on November 6, generating an outpouring of grief from his substantial online following. The influencer, a long-term UAE resident holding Golden Visa status, had established himself as a prominent digital creator with appearances on notable platforms including ‘Seat 07A,’ a podcast hosted by UAE Ambassador to India Abdulnasser Alshaali.

The Strip Shutdown event, which Sood was attending at the time of his death, featured automotive industry luminaries Horacio Pagani and Christian Von Koenigsegg. His unexpected death at 31 has sparked broader conversations about substance risks and mental health challenges within the influencer community.
